Raw hair arrives
in one colour.
Single donor hair comes off the head as it grew: a natural dark brown to near-black, between 1B and 2 depending on the donor. Everything else you see on the market is a lift, and every lift costs the hair something.
The shades

What lifting costs you
Every process opens the cuticle to remove pigment. Raw hair survives this better than processed hair because the cuticle was intact to begin with — but survives is not the same as unaffected. Expect a lifted unit to need more conditioning, tolerate less heat, and last shorter than the same hair in 1B.
If you want blonde and you want three years of wear, buy two units: one natural for everyday, one lifted for when you want it. That is cheaper than replacing a bleached unit annually.
Colouring it yourself
- Test on a small section from the weft first. Always. Donor hair varies and no two lots lift identically.
- Go darker at home if you like. Do not attempt a lift beyond one level without a colourist.
- Colour before installation, never after. You cannot rinse properly on a head.
- Deep condition immediately after, then again 48 hours later.
Send us a reference photograph in natural light before you commit. We will tell you honestly whether the shade is achievable on the lot you are considering, and what it will do to the hand of the hair.
